Mobile data collection With a reputation for quality and innovation, Shire Vale, one of the countries leading fine cheese manufacturers needed to create efficiencies in the business by utilising portable data management tools.
The Solution:
The first phase of the project involved hand held device analysis to ensure the selected equipment could operate consistently through the varying temperature and humidity environments found in cheese manufacture. The second phase focused on interface design to enable the system to be utilised with multiple input methods, including hands, pens and stylus. The final phase was to create a centralised reporting and database store to wirelessly collect the data from the devices as measurements were taken.
